Who can join?

ROYAL MAIL GROUP EMPLOYEES FROM ANY PART OF UNITED KINGDOM EXCEPT NORTHERN IRELAND AND THEIR FAMILIES.

Employee's of Royal Mail, Romec, Quadrant, Post Office Counters, Parcelforce and CashCo are eligible to join the 1st Class Credit Union, Royal Mail Group employees can pay by payroll deduction. Family members must pay by direct debit.

Complete an application form and send to the credit union.  Don’t forget, your family can also enjoy all the benefits of being a member of 1st Class Credit Union. All they have to do is live in the same household as an existing member, and they too can have membership of 1ST Class Credit Union.

Lifetime membership

Once you are a member of 1st Class Credit Union you have a lifetime membership. By holding as little as three pounds (£3.00) in your account you will be a member for life. You can leave your job, retire or even stop saving for a while but as long as you have three pounds in your account, you will be a member and can enjoy all the benefits.

Family Membership

Family membership of the credit union is open to all relatives over 16 who stay at the same address as a current 1st Class Credit Union member.

Family members can pay into the credit union by Direct Debit from their Bank or Building Society (Direct Debit mandate will be sent to you).

All new members must by law prove thier identity and thier current address,1st Class Credit Union will carry out these checks electronically if we cannot verify these checks then we will request  proof of identity and address from the applicant (see below) also current member must complete the sponsoring members declaration on the application form.

Forms we may request from you.

One item of either your Passport, driving licence, benefit book or inland revenue returns form will be required to be sent to us as proof of identity.
And
One copy of either a recent utility bill, council tax bill/notice or bank or building society account statement to provide proof of address.

These will be returned to you by Special Delivery
